Women Empowerment
Our artisans are financially independent, contributing to their families' well-being. Every woman now has her own bank account and Paytm account, marking her journey toward independence and empowerment.
From 5 to 100 Women Artisans
A Journey of Grassroots Empowerment
Started small (Aug 2020): The initiative began with 5 women from Nithari, Noida.
Expansion: Over time, more women joined, and the organisation now supports around 125 women artisans who earn a steady income through knitting and crochet work.
Skill building: These women were trained locally-many with basic or no prior professional craft experience, but now produce finished handmade products sold domestically and internationally.
Over the past three years, Sakha Ek Pehel has transformed the lives of 50 women in Nithari, helping them become self-reliant. What makes us different from other vocational training schools for crochet. We will give them employment opportunities from day 1 to work with Sakha Ek Pehel. Through these classes we are spreading awareness about menstrual Hygiene, domestic violence, importance of education and side effects of Tobacco. We have plans to open 10 other similar schools in Nithari village. First batch consists of 15 young girls from 8th to 12th standard. This project is getting lot of community and corporate support
