About Sakha Ek Pehel
Sakha Ek Pehel is a women-led nonprofit movement transforming lives through the warmth of handmade art. Based in Nithari village, Noida, we empower underprivileged women by teaching them the timeless skills of crochet and knitting-turning threads of tradition into threads of hope, dignity, and financial independence.
Today, Sakha is home to 80+ talented women artisans, many of whom once believed they had no voice, no skill, and no opportunity. Through free training, mentorship, and fair income opportunities, they now create exquisite handcrafted pieces accessories to toys and home décor and pride. from baby clothes and each made with love, purpose and pride.
At Sakha, we believe that true empowerment begins with empathy. That's why our compassion extends beyond people we also care for 180+ stray dogs, providing them with food, shelter, and medical care. For us, coexistence is not just a value, it's a way of life- where both humans and animals thrive with love and respect.
